Zelex 170cm Review: “Unbelievably realistic”

Reviewed with Head #G46

“People want dolls to look like people…well, Zelex are producing them.” – haremlover

Zelex has quickly earned a reputation for realistic sex dolls, but what do owners think? Here we summarise a Zelex 170 review by haremlover posted on TDF. You can watch his full review video on Vimeo below.

Zelex is a relatively new doll brand from China that promises a level of detail and realism normally reserved for far more expensive dolls.

Did the package arrive undamaged?

Yes, although the neck was bent out of shape due to the package being stood on end, upside down. However this did not cause any damage.

The UK Border Force also opened the package for inspection – as evidenced by the tape at one end.

Zelex sprayed foam into a plastic bag and placed it around the doll to protect it from damage.

What are breasts like?

“The breasts are immediately impressively jiggly,” Haremlover says in his video review.

How realistic are the knees?

Since the doll has been cast from a real woman, the knees have all the creases of a genuine knee. However, “I’m not entirely sure that I like such realism,” says haremlover.

But he continues, “People want dolls to look like people…well, Zelex are producing them.”

How realistic are the hands?

The 45kg (99lbs) Zelex 170 has wire fingers in her hands. While these are not as convincing as jointed fingers, like the knees the fingers offer an amazing level of realism, with all the lines and creases of a real woman’s hands.

The hand hinges are “quite stiff” on the Zelex 170, so some effort is required to move them. Haremlover points out that buyers should bend the hands from the palm plate, not from the fingers – as this could cause damage.

“It’s quite a well-proportioned hand,” says Haremlover, but hinged fingers would do the doll more justice since the “moulding is absolutely fantastic.”

The hands only move up and down – not side-to-side “unlike some manufacturers”.

How do the arms move?

The arms were “moving nicely” and were “not too loose”. There is even a protruding vein in the inside of the arms, adding the realism.

How realistic are the feet on the 170?

The haremlover was deeply impressed by the realism of the feet: “That is one of the most realistically proportioned feet I’ve seen.” The skin itself has the texture and look of real skin.

He emphasises that the sideways light in the video makes the skin seams show up more than in flatter light. They are “not at all visible in normal light.”

In this model standing feet were ordered – so three bolts are visible. The reviewer points out that these do not protrude and in any case can be removed for bed.

How realistic is the skin on the 170?

“The markings on the skin are very, very realistic,” says haremlover. “It’s a beautifully soft feeling.”

However the stomach is firm.

“These elements of realism do really bring her to life beautifully.”

How real do the breasts feel?

“The breasts are very, very luscious.”

“Zelex is really hitting a high point here and I’m very, very impressed.”

“This is just an amazing doll actually.”

Is the 170’s head realistic?

The 170 features an M-16 bolt at the base of the head and a fitting on the neck. The provided bolt is screwed into the head, which then clicks into the body.

The head is described as “hard compared to the body.” Haremlover states he prefers softer heads – but concedes “this seems to be the fashion.”

The doll came with a “curly wurly wig” that could prove “impossible to maintain.”

However, with the wig fitted “she looks very, very effective and very, very realistic.”

The model has implanted eyebrows: “She really is quite a madam.”

What are the 170’s eyes like?

“The eyes move nicely.” Haremlover points out that cotton buds or the eraser on the end of a pencil should be used to move the eyes.

In summary

The Zelex 170 is a highly detailed, realistic doll. The skin on the feet, knees and arms are especially authentic. The breasts are soft and lifelike, while the rest of the body is firm.

Slight downsides are the wire fingers which could get damaged if not handled with care, and the hard head – although this is a matter of preference. Haremlover also feels the knee texture is a little too realistic and is slightly out of position.

However, these are arguably small gripes over an extremely realistic doll.
